I could never understand the logic behind this approach.  Are you not allowed to find people unattractive if you're not a raving beauty yourself? Must you be a piano virtuoso before you can say that you don't like this or that performer? Do you have to be a genius in the kitchen before you're allowed to dislike a dish? What's up with this?[/quote]

Actors and actresses should be evaluated on performance, not appearance. Saying you don’t like a pianist’s performance is fine; tearing apart their appearance onstage is not. Saying you don’t like a particular chef’s dishes is fine; saying they are ugly is not.

It’s unnecessary to talk about anyone’s looks in a negative way. It’s cruel. What’s up with that? [/quote]
