You know, you're not wrong about some of these ideas. We do need less war, more protections on industry/jobs and perhaps more isolation but not at the risk of appeasement the way Chamberlain did before WW2 . The problem is, Trump isn't the guy for that job. He starts reckless trade wars. He cozies up to dictators and turns his back on our allies. He literally said his presidency is for sale. He provides tax cuts to the wealthy at the expense of the middle class. Biden actually has brought manufacturing jobs back as well as clean energy and infrastructure -- something the GOP didn't support but wants to now claim credit for. The Democratic party, for all of its flaws, is trying to protect workers' rights. It definitely was misguided back in the 1990s and 2000s - believing in free trade without recognizing the consequences but so was the GOP in terms of being complicit in NAFTA, etc. Both parties recognize the issues with this now.
