This is what Gov. Youngkin should have done, but he just didn’t have the stones.

We are a republic, which is another word for “managed democracy”. So if we want our side to win, we have to embrace the need to shape the electorate. Democrats already do that by registering and turning out anyone with a pulse (and perhaps without  :lol:). People you would never associate with in real life.

But their disadvantage is they have to register and vote one by one. I actually think the police were just doing traffic control, but you could just have civilian employees in yellow vests do that. Point is if your blockade makes ten people turn around and 100 not vote, and they would have voted Democrat, then that’s an enormous AND efficient win.

Did you seriously not know that? Of course the GOP is for voter suppression! Did you see what happened in Ohio, ruby red Ohio? The GOP got smacked hard, and it happened because people turned out.

Can you imagine how much less red the confederate states would be if they didn’t artificially suppress and weaken the Black vote? Texas would have gone blue in 2020, and they admitted this (and yes, Republicans, I know you say he didn’t mean what he said. He said what he said, he meant what he meant, if the GOP didn’t cheat, they’d have to repent).  They have to prevent people from voting or the GOP would have to become a normal party. [/quote]
