Aren’t alternate electors legal?
Fake ones aren't.
I don’t’ understand. Please show me that the electors were not alternate and instead, were created after the fact as fakes.
Here are the fake electors in Michigan trying to enter the state Capitol, and the state police telling them they are not the state’s duly appointed electors. They aren’t because their candidate lost the state by 150,000 votes. [twitter]https://twitter.com/bgonthescene/status/1681451767383375872?s=46&t=kf1qYlCXQnKgUhJWEIu2vg[/twitter]
I can't get enough of that video!
+1 The guy says they have elected officials and "electors" there. We know the electors are fake but who are the elected officials outside with them?
Some of the fake electors were also elected officials. Mostly state legislators. In Georgia, the now Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones was a state senator at the time he signed the fake electoral certificate and is an unindicted co-conspirator. The Michigan fake electors included a town clerk and a school board member. https://michiganadvance.com/2022/06/29/trumps-fake-electors-heres-the-full-list/
Some of the fake electors were also duped by GOP elites. In New Mexico, they were told that their elector slate would only be used if Trump prevailed in court on election fraud. Essentially, they were a back-up slate. Instead, NM GOP sent it in. Look at the language in the NM electors document, it is much more hedged in terms of authority: https://www.archives.gov/files/foia/nm-full.pdf
