Even so, there was great spirit among the girls and a lot of support from the student body. In fact, I remember hearing about a pep rally where the team got a standing ovation for having scored a single goal -- their first in a long losing streak. This just goes to show that while some schools may be perrenial powerhouses in a particular sport, fortunes can change over time. So, there may be light at the end of the tunnel after all for Sidwell football![/quote]
