The school board had an RFP for a boundary consultant out in Sept and the bid is now closed. Braddock District Rep -Meagan McLaughlin defined the purpose of the RFP as " both the community and the Board in examining national best practices to address existing overcrowding and anticipated overcrowding that may come from 2 major county developments: Tysons Corner and Route 1 Corridor. "

Eastern Fairfax County has a huge surplus now at the high school level and will have mega surplus after the bond.  3 high schools now have space for boundary changes :  Langley, Lee, Mount Vernon and to a lesser extent Annandale and some at about 90% utilization. Except for Langley in Northern part of the county all with open space are in eastern Fairfax.  West County schools might as well be in Loudoun or Prince William County for all the attention and resources they get.

No planning just piecemeal additions.  Add in progress and future and you get a new high school where it's actually needed.
