Excellent point! Why does Kate get a pass and not Beth? I was half hoping Beth had smacked Kate during that scene last season when Kate got snippy with Beth and told her that she took her brother away when they got married. Haven't they been married well over 10 years? Beth is too classy for that. I'm not. Also, isn't Kate in California? What is the deal with Randall and Kevin flying across the country at the last second for her doctor appointments and whatnot? Kevin is somewhat carefree and has money. Randall has some saved up, but he also has 3 children, a wife and is a newly elected official, yet he drops it all to run to Kate, who has a husband.  [/quote]
