Crossfield is nowhere near Franklin MS - why are they getting moved in there in all 3 scenarios??
Because RIO lobbied for it to try to ensure their kids stayed franklin to oakton. And they have a parent embedded at Gatehouse.
1) look at a map, Franklin makes sense for resolving split feeders, and yes feeding Oakton 2) this is a blatant lie that keeps getting repeated by some troll(s) who is not connected with reality
You’re just afraid the consultants will see through the bs and put you where you rightfully belong - at Skyview.
mostly I'm afraid of people making assumptions and spreading lies to pit one group against another. The middle school splits are odd, I do think some can be improved, though given locations & numbers not completely resolved. It would seem make sense that if Lees Corner or some Navy families want to stay at Chantilly HS, they might expect to be aligned to Rocky Run. If Crossfield/Navy/Waples families are staying at Oakton, they should expect to be aligned to Franklin. Oakhill families seem to agree that it makes the most sense to align them to Carson (rather than current split to Franklin and Carson) if they are going to be proceeding to Skyview. Based on the student population and utilization numbers there is no reason to move Navy students who would progress to Oakton to Rocky Run. This is counter to all the FCPS stated priorities for boundaries AND is NOT something that anyone else has advocated for.
