We gotta do 4 more years of this? I just wanted them all to go away.
Original OP here: this is my longest lived creation outside of my children and that makes me sad. But you know what, I’m not upset. I don’t know why I’m not upset, I hate everything about this and these people, maybe I have some undying faith in justice and that all these people will be served some version of it. I have hope!
Bless you. Could you write a book on the topic at this point? Has there been anything learned from this long journey?
I’ve learned a lot about fashion! I think there are several repeat posters on this thread who are actually qualified to write the book (I can do the foreword/intro); they’ve made such insightful comments on their fashion and cosmetic procedures. I think what I have learned from this thread is that when you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin or with yourself as a person, clothes are just going to emphasize that. Look at all of Ivanka’s mishaps. She looks so good when she is away from D.C. and wearing regular rich lady on vacation clothes, and she looked so out of place as a presidential advisor. Her outfits were so costume-y and weird and trying too hard. The biggest personal lesson was if I pick up a trendy article of clothing and try it on and it looks ok but just doesn’t feel “right,” I put that puppy right back. My own wardrobe is more basic and high quality now than when I started the thread and I don’t really even buy clothes that often. I wear a lot of repeat outfits that I love.
