FCV players are out in large numbers at ECNL practices this week…
And so it begins...
There was a whole group of FCV girls at Union last night and parents wearing FCV gear not even trying to hide it
Wow. Big shake up for ECNL clubs next season. I wish them luck!
Every ECNL club will take the FCV players, it will help them round out our RL teams
It’s parents like these who ruin it for all of the other ECNL parents and give them bad names. Just so you know I think only one player has defected at this point. She ended up taking a spot on the roster for Bethesda 2010 ECNL and that is probably the best team in our area for that age group. You think you are funny now until someone like MT ends up at your club and plays the same position as your child/teen. I’m sorry parents like this ruin it for all of the respectful and intelligent ECNL parents, truly.
Parents of ECNL players on "good" teams that win rarely even concern themselves with other leagues. Parents of ECNL players on teams that get blown out week after week like going online to pick on someone they perceive as lesser than their kids team. It's how they feel better about getting shelled week after week. Funny thing is if they played the top GA teams from around the nation, they'd still get shelled. The rankings app does a pretty good job of giving a rough determination of how good teams are independent of the league they play in.
Yeah I've found the rankings app to be surprisingly accurate for the most part. Top Drawer's monthly top 25 rankings by age group is good too. Not perfect, but pretty close and way more accurate than the predictions by anonymous people on a message board.
TDS is bit biased. They're not entireley independent, they are influenced by money slightly IMO. The rankings app isn't completely perfect and a lot of people have issue with ranking kids sports teams but its probably the best metric out there considering it takes a lot more data into account than GotSport. I also like that it gives club rankings as a whole as well, but the data there should always be taken for what it is and nothing more. For example, FCV has a pretty decent track record of being a top 100 girls club and all their teams are pretty highly ranked in VA, but now with all the incoming changes, who knows where they will be in a few years.
So true. IMHO anything you have to pay for isn't an unbiased opinion.
Rankings App is free for national rankings. If you want to see the odds for specific games you have to pay.
