Saint Mary's made it to the MIAA semi-finals last year only to lose to BL (the eventual 2020 champion) In 2019, Saint Mary's made it to the MIAA finals and ended up losing to Calvert Hall (who three-peated I believe.  Saints Mary's is a top 4 program in the MIAA based on recent success over the past few seasons. (BL, Calvert Hall and McDonogh garner most of the attention in that league in recent memory but the Saints have been super competitive the past few seasons).

Spalding had one excellent season last year but prior to last Spring, I wouldn't have ever considered Spalding even close to a top team in the MIAA. (Spalding and MSJ historically have been towards the bottom of the MIAA) Was last year a total fluke or the result of a strong 2022 class? Can the Cavs sustain their recent success or will they be a one-hit-wonder?

St. Pauls will be good this Spring (they were very young last year). I'd put the Crusaders up against anyone from the WCAC except St Johns and maybe Gonzaga. Truthfully a middle-of-the-road MIAA team would beat the pants off most teams from the WCAC. (too many novice lax parents on here read way too much into results from NHSLS during summer and fall ball..)

Pretty sure Landon has also historically played Severn for years.

I'd agree with your previous statement about the 2 Virginia private school teams who compete in the VISSA. STAB is average to decent depending on the year (they had a very good year with Connor Shellenberger in 2019) and Norfolk Academy is OK but nothing special.
