I'd be inclined to shrink the Board in half, pay them more, and revisit their rules and bylaws so their responsibilities are clearly and narrowly defined.

Part of the reason people think so poorly of Brabrand is that he spends half his time seeking to no avail to cater to the whims of a bunch of babbling ninnies on the School Board who don't have a clue how to engage in effective oversight of a $3B business.   They all come out looking worse.  [/quote]
