I think OP had a valid concern. I don’t need to restate what has already been said, and perhaps OP could’ve phrased it differently, but many of the people who said they don’t volunteer because they believe the volunteer positions are dumb need to get off their high horse and do something for the benefit of their community regardless of personal feelings. If they want to reduce the number of necessary volunteers, they should…well…volunteer their time as a team rep or as a league board member and institute some changes. [/quote]

You’re right about not knowing about everyone’s situation, but clearly you need to go back and reread this thread. It’s not my job nor OP’s job to pick up when others slack. We all have sh!t going on in our lives, but you find ways to deal with your commitments or you don’t participate. [/quote]
