CNN reports that three more Christ Church members have tested positive according to a letter sent to parishioners. However, the DC count remains at 10. Or were these parishioners all from VA or MD?
Knowing that they tested positive because they were tested and the parishioners are only tested if/when they exhibit symptoms.
DP. So of those those hundreds of parishioners who were told a week after their exposure that they should self-quarantine, many were likely infected but we won't know until they a truly symptomatic and get tested. In the week they didn't know to self-quarantine, they interacted with hundreds more people, who may not know they interacted with a person who may have been infected. When those folks develop symptoms, they post on DCUM "I have the sniffles, what should I do?" and get shouted down both "shut up, it's a cold" and "how dare you go out in public?" but they don't get tested. Voila! As I posted elsewhere, if this had been South Korea, the whole church would have been tested, multiple times, starting a week ago. Hundreds more infections could have been avoided there.
