During the times that Maret could use the fields those schools are already using them for their own teams.  Some private schools also use DPR fields even though they have their own. Many private schools have mandatory athletics, [b]you can't put hundreds of kids on a single field.[/b] [/quote]

Actually you can.  This is what happens at the tiny Hardy field, courtesy of the Maret deal.  But hey, you're saying that's not all dc has given this crowd - there are more fields seized for the critical after school window?[/quote]

+1. Maret has committed about $1 million total over the next 10 years to Jeleff.  Someone will rent them a field every weekday for $100k/year...it just may be a field in Gaithersburg rather than Georgetown for that price and the Maret kids will learn how the Hardy kids feel when they have to travel 1 hr to a game. Or ... they can buy land in PG county and make their own sports complex there.  Done.
