Oops, sorry accidentally hit send... I came on here the other day as a Dem to praise Governor Cox for his calls for unity AND I RETRACT THEM. Governor Cox is no unifier. Sadly his words the other day were empty given his gross press tour this weekend and the gasoline he just poured on the situation. The WSJ reported that Trump called him immediately after the speech to tell him it was trash. Now, the governor says the shooter was "deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology," with no proof. He said the shooter isn't cooperative, and so he has to "draw conclusions." It's sad but now my fury at MAGA is back. They're the violent ones and nobody is willing to stand up and tell the truth. Trump came out today and said when someone asked him how he might unify the country, "I don't care to." As an American I'm disgusted, that no GOP will call out this dangerous rhetoric.
Umm, so you suddenly don't like him because he communicated some of the results of the ongoing investigation? Is it because those results go against your belief of the world?
It has nothing to do with like/unlike--that's so childish. I retracted my praise for him being a unifier. You can't call for unity one day and start flame throwing the next. I'm not at all guilty for Charlie Kirk's murder because I'm a Dem, yet Cox changed his tune after Trump called. I find it sad that MAGA is using Charlie as a pawn, but maybe he would have wanted that. His "civil discourse" is being used to stoke outrage, division, and hatred. Knowing this information doesn't bring him back. Funny, Cox didn't mention this family's extreme gun obsession and how Trump made it easier in his first term for people who have mental health challenges to buy a gun. That's what killed Kirk. But, nobody's calling him out and his....again, dangerous rhetoric.
