Freshman were not allowed to tryout.  The 2026s are an anomaly year in terms of talent.  I think this extends beyond this particular school and beyond the region. [/quote]

The 2026s were way better than the 2025s. There were a few good 2024s but not many of them. There are something like 20 2026s at the school who are committed to play in college. That is an unusually large number. [/quote]
