Putting Wootton kids at Crown is just dumb. It won't matter in the end this will be the end of a great HS. Putting Damascus kids there is absurd. The distance is too far.
Wow, so eloquently stated. Why is it dumb? Putting Wootton kids at Crown is just smart, and a good use of taxpayer dollars. There are 22 schools in the CIP, and only one with a brand new school being built a couple of miles away.
You have made this exact same comment like 4 times in this forum on different threads. I know you think it makes you sound smart but it doesn’t. This was an MCPS mistake that they want Wootton to absorb.
I keep posting this because you keep posting that you don't want to move to Crown, and that it's "dumb" to move them. You keep ignoring the current state of MoCo and MCPS as a whole.
So the strategy is to keep coercing Wootton to move to Crown? It seems that nagging and threats work the best
Wootton families have yet to offer a reasonable solution. You are on the repair list and have had recent updates according to the student newspaper. What more do you want. You have a newly painted building and new bathrooms. Many of our schools haven’t been painted in years and the bathrooms are locked or not useable. Locked bathrooms especially for girls is not right. I let mine skip school monthly as I cannot imagine dealing with that.
Please let us know what area school has only locked or unusable bathrooms. This would be an emergency and needs to be on the news if this is true.
It’s been all over the news and social media for the past few years. Do you pay attention at all? Both schools my kids are at still have locked bathrooms. They will not unlock them because of safety but they will not fund the safety measures needed.
I think it’s interesting that you respond like this and still don’t say what schools. But anyway, I did look it up and you are presenting it as if they are being locked because they are in poor condition. Which, is not at all what I read. So maybe be completely transparent so that you don’t look like you are hiding the truth. I do agree that the answer is not to lock the bathrooms for the issues that I read but you didn’t present it in a truthful way.
You’d know if you cared. There is nothing to hide but Mcps isn’t fixing the situation. Your hs kids are probably having the same issues, talk to them.
