We’ve had variances approved in our neighborhood for sheds that have been built too far into the setback, but those were situations where only one neighbor had complained and all the other neighbors were fine with it. In this situation, it doesn’t sound as though the majority of neighbors are okay with this addition. Also, the situations in my neighborhood involved small backyard sheds- the largest one was 10x10. This is entirely different with the three stories jutting up. That six inches is much more noticeable when it is going straight up, three stories high. Very different than a one story shed or addition. [/quote]
