I feel like the problems are cultural but also somewhat dated. Between global warming wrecking havoc on food and energy, our national debt, the lack of anyone sane and competent desiring a national political career and finally, global unrest leading to many conflicts we have to be involved in rightly or wrongly, there's very little stability in the coming years.

Whenever I hear Biden and politicians talk about how great US is and all this happiness and fortune of Americans, I cringe.   Unless we all admit and face the unrosy picture of our country's very real problems, we will continue going downhill.  There's no shame in admitting we have shortcomings and no shame in trying to suggest we can all make it better.  Starting at the bottom and working to solve our high priority issues would be such a refreshing attitude that nobody in our government can seemingly face.  As a result, we are all screwed. [/quote]
