Pretty amazing that he couldn’t remember when Beau died, considering that he mentions Beau EVERY TIME HE MEETS SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD A LOVED ONE DIE.
And, it's pretty rich that in Jill Biden's statement WRT the report, she said, "I can't imagine someone would try to use our son's death to score political points." Especially since this is what Joe does all. the. time.
THIS. I actually cringe every time he's talking to people who have lost loved ones and EVERY TIME has to bring up the death of his son. Way to make it all about you. DP
Especially when a Military member died overseas and Biden starts in on his son dying. I am sure his son’s death was tragic and terrible, but he died in a hospital. Joe and his family could say their goodbyes and make sure Beau was cared for and treated with pain relief, etc. Military personnel who die from being blown up or any hostile action don’t have that kind of death. Two different things, both awful, but not the same.
This is a childish, pathetic pissing match about who suffered more. Gross. The point is that Trump’s family is completely out of touch with the military and mocks them. Biden family can relate and respects them.
No, Military members who die in action in war are separate from people who doe from cancer. Both are tragic. But Beau Biden didn’t die in war. It’s not childish to point out the difference.
Beau died of cancer that he likely got because of exposure while serving. Quit trying to out-trauma them. Yes, it’s childish.
A Military Member who is killed in action and a Veteran dying from a service connected cancer are not the same. The VA only allows Vets who have service connected cancers to be rated while undergoing cancer treatment. Once they are “cured” they are dropped to zero and have to fend for themselves. I know Vets who were diagnosed with a service connected cancer who applied for help from the VA. These Vets have had life changing surgery, chemo, radiation, and the VA STILL hasn’t helped them. Why? The onerous bureaucracy of the VA. My VSO said many Vets die from their eventual service connected cancer before the VA adjudicates their cases and grants cancer stricken Vets the help they need. They actually die before the VA processes their application. It takes years for a VA application to be processed. Some Vets with service connected cancers are initially denied and have to submit paperwork for a higher level review. Guess how long that takes? Time cancer stricken Vets do not have. At all. If Biden understands the tragedy of Vets with cancer, how about he fixes the VA? Men and women like his son are dying and not even being approved for the benefits and healthcare they earned because of extensive paperwork and VA bureaucracy. They and their families suffer greatly. Biden understands that suffering so personally but only talks about his son dying, and the other people just like his son don’t even receive the help they need in time to receive VA treatment and benefits. It’s very hard to hear Biden constantly talking about his son and how he suffered and his family suffered, while people in the exact situation, who need help, aren’t getting it. If he did something besides talk, that would be great.
It’s not a trauma contest. You guys purposefully obtuse? I’m married to a 100% disabled vet who saw people in pieces in Afghanistan. Your BS isn’t going to fly with me.
