[/quote] If you think discussing crime is new, you are wrong. Local papers used to report crime in detail. Even small domestic disputes, petty theft, etc was reported in the paper. It was very local and everyone knew everyone else’s business. Then women would get together at sewing club, bridge club, etc and discuss and gossip. Only the medium and location has changed.
