It didn't come out til right before the inaugural - it wasn't used to undermine a political election campaign at all. It was one of several pieces of a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE INVESTIGATION because people on the Trump campaign were working with Russians and were surveilled by FiveEyes and our IC. Chicken and egg, don't conspire with Russians and you won't be under surveillance.

Mueller and all his high power agents and attorneys were unable to verify the dossier.  
Yet, the FBI saw fit to include it in intelligence briefings and FISA warrants.

First, nothing in your link indicates that Mueller's team was unable to verify the dossier because "evidence was destroyed."

Since Clinton hired the firm that created the dossier, how do we not know it was her campaign behind the disinformation?
Since the intelligence personnel in the Obama administration used the dossier in briefings and FISA warrants, how do we not know they were not behind the disinformation campaign?  Or, were they simply duped by it?  [/quote]
