Yep, and this creates a huge deterrent to attracting competent folks to even want to engage in DC politics. If they know that hate speech will be openly used against them without repercussions, why would they even want to be involved?

The days of the control board and then Tony Williams' mayoralty were DC's best days in decades.  Fenty was pretty good, but since then governance has begun to slip back.  Bowser isn't quite back to the Barry days, but she's too close for comfort.[/quote]
