NP. Do you listen to yourself? Perhaps not legally negligent, but I don't understand on what planet, those parents are not morally and ethically negligent, in not intervening in their son's radicalized dangerous ideas and having access to deadly weapons.

I feel like you'd think differently if the son was Muslim or black or latino - the story would be told as negligent parents who let their son be radicalized, become a thug, become a gang banger who could easily get their hands on guns. [/quote]

NP. Do you know that the guns weren't locked in a safe? Locks and safes can be defeated.
