Now that GA showcase is over ... Boom incoming soon!
tomorrow
No additional changes the window has closed.
I’ll admit it, Girls Academy held the line this window better than I expected. Going in, it felt like ECNL had a real shot to make a move and grab momentum, but that didn’t happen. GA didn’t lose any key clubs, and actually added some decent ones. At this point, it’s pretty clear the MLS Next partnership is starting to pay off. There’s more stability, more credibility, and now they’ve got enough traction to really start shaping the narrative instead of reacting to it.
Vamos SYC!
What decent clubs were added? Didn't see anything special
GA didn’t “win the window” with flashy adds, but they’re quietly building leverage. The clubs that actually decide the balance (strong regional powerhouses) are still very much in play. The middle 20–40 elite clubs nationally are fluid, and that’s where leagues are won/lost. The interesting thing about GA right now is that they’re clearly building for a few years down the line. ECNL is still stronger today, but a lot of that advantage is based on reputation and existing pipelines. GA is trying to build the next version of that system from the ground up.
