I’ll admit it, Girls Academy held the line this window better than I expected.

Going in, it felt like ECNL had a real shot to make a move and grab momentum, but that didn’t happen. GA didn’t lose any key clubs, and actually added some decent ones.

At this point, it’s pretty clear the MLS Next partnership is starting to pay off. There’s more stability, more credibility, and now they’ve got enough traction to really start shaping the narrative instead of reacting to it.[/quote]

ECNL still has the brand and history, but it’s a lot more fragile than it looks.

If they have one bad window where a few top clubs jump to GA because of the allure of MLS Next, that “top league” label gets shaky fast.

ECNL has been operating from a position of strength for years, but it doesn’t take much for that to flip if the balance of top clubs starts to shift. [/quote]
