He should do a Fischer's transformation based on birth year on the two populations to test this. Yes, the real question is why was the US an outlier. The author wonders (not conclusively) if that's because of our P2P system. BUT he doesn't acknowledge the BY to SY switch. A huge confounder that could explain everything.[/quote]
