What apartment building is built now, totally vacant, and owned by someone who is willing to lease it to DC as a homeless shelter, with enough common spaces to accommodate the things that the shelters are incorporating? There are new buildings going up all the time. Are you suggesting that one of the developers building condos on U Street should offer entire buildings up for shelters?[/quote] There are warehouses or abandoned buildings that could be completely overhauled and renovated and ready by mid Summer if they start now.
