I would read a health and fitness book by him. The amount of discipline it must take to look this young and good!!
Hello- he’s Latina! Also Eva Longoria…Latinas age really well…JLo anyone?!
Dont exclude Ariana Grande.
She is not Latina. She's Italian-American.
This article on how Grande encourages people to think she's not white is really interesting: https://berkeleybside.com/thank-u-next-to-racial-identity-pop-star-ariana-grandes-record-of-racebending/ A lot of the aesthetic choices are borderline -- the aggressive tanning could be "black fishing" or it could just be engaging in a beauty trend that spans races. However the two things that really gave me pause were her quinceñera comment and the "K-pop" eye makeup she used to make her face look more Asian. Those seem like very overt efforts to make herself appear non-white. And it worked! Everyone thinks she's either Latina or mixed race. Interestingly, the one woman I know in real life who went through a phase where she was definitely trying to encourage people to think she wasn't white is also Italian-American. I think the olive skin tone might make it easier to do this. The Kardashians have done for their whole careers and their Armenian heritage makes it easier (though the Jenner sisters aren't even half Armenian -- Kylie just adopted her half-sister's looks even though she's as white as a person can be). It's funny how much has been made of Wicked's very diverse cast. I think the implication Grande is Latina or otherwise non-white contributes to that and she does nothing to dispel the notion. But I wonder if her costars or the director or producer know she's a white woman who has been using misconceptions about her racial heritage to promote herself for years. I bet a lot of them just think she's Latina. Super weird.
NP. If regular people know she’s just Italian, certainly her costars would know as well.
But most regular people do not know she's white. The vast majority of people think she is Latina or mixed race. It's a very common misperception that she has encouraged throughout her career. I only learned she is white like 3 months ago.
She dyed her hair blond and people still will complain she looks too Latina when she is just looking how she looks and has the name she has and is from Florida. Not her fault people want to box her in nicely into their stereotype and assume ulterior motives.
