Truly smart , academically focused men are. For one there’s the lifetime of conversations you’ll be having with your spouse, for two think of the children. Smart men (and women) would like to have smart children for many of the same reasons- interactions, child going to their alma mater, pride.

However , we’re doing ourselves no favors by being purposely disingenuous in continuously peddling outright falsehoods like men are attracted to degrees . Do you in your deep interior believe it to be unequivocally true ? There will never be a time in the history of mankind when men aren’t attracted to young-ish, fertile, and conventionally attractive women, its  biology. What is happening with Jeff bezos isn’t a statistical anomaly because many similarly situated men are on their second or third marriages to not-so-educated women . Men will act on their impulses when and if given the  Opportunity .

actually, expensive degrees can teach you a lot. there is this whole field called evolutionary psychology that studies who is attracted to who and why. you are picking on one thread in it but are vastly overstating the case.

neither men nor women want huge age difference in their romantic partners. men of all ages find 20 year olds the most attractive, but men at different ages have different needs and preferences, "most attractive" is not always or usually the one 'i want to marry', i can marry, or have a family with.

55 year old men are rarely looking for romantic partners. bezos was married, and it happened - and his partner is his wife's age and close to menopause. so even this example that you think somehow proves your point ("there will never be a time in the history of mankind when men aren’t attracted to young-ish, fertile, and conventionally attractive women") actually contradicts it. why didn't bezos go for a 20 year old model, huh?[/quote]
