They are moving about 130 kids from Marshall to Madison and 170 kids from Kilmer to Thoreau, in both cases exclusively from UMC single-family neighborhoods.  And they created an isolated Westbriar-Kilmer-Marshall attendance island in western Vienna that, over time, will push to get moved to the Madison or Langley pyramids.

Surely you can admit this will have a negative impact on Marshall's academic offerings in the coming years.  The favoritism towards Madison is obvious and appalling.  [/quote]

Marshall had an enrollment of 2190 and 20.78% FARMS last year (I don't know how to find that for current year). If 130 kids leave who were not FARMS, the new enrollment is 2060 and 22.09% FARMS. Do you really expect that to be appreciably different? This is not as significant of a move as everyone is making it out to be. [/quote]

Now do Kilmer.

This was a decision by Meren and Reid to favor some noisy Vienna parents. The only saving grace is that they will turn Thoreau into an overcrowded mess. [/quote]
