I have a question. If someone has a child that shows potential for baseball, and this kid is going to try out for the travel team, would a parent be be commended or criticized for doing batting practice with them in the backyard? Should the parent feel public pressure to NOT practice with their child? Maybe coaches should ask each child before the tryout - "Have your parents practiced this with you?" and take note of that........ Maybe there should be a sports thread called prepping/scamming baseball tryouts.........
Excellent point!
Double Excellent! My kids play sports, and I swear some of those parents are crazy crazy crazy. Way crazier than any parent I know about AAP or TJ prep. Yet there's never any criticism about that.
Uh...didn't YOU just criticize it?
Haha, I see that analogy all the time. :) Not the same thing at all as showing kids test questions ahead of time, but it is interesting that there are some who think it is.
