Top players at every position in VHSL NOVA 6a Attack 1. #3 Yorktown 2. #1 Battlefield 3. #1 Indy 4. #20 West po 5. #8 Langley Midfield 1. #7 Langley 2. #5 Madison 3. #5 Battlefield 4. #8 Robinson 5. #11 Indy Defense 1. #22 Robinson 2. #21 Indy 3. #4 Robinson 4. #9 Herndon 5. #23 Langley Goalie 1. #3 Langley 2. #28 Robinson (the gap is because there is no one close to number 1)
This list is pretty good to me. I just see a huge difference in skill level this year between attack and midfielders. There are so much more good attackmen, like #1, #3 Herndon, #14 Yorktown, #7 Indy and others that wernt even on the list. After #7 on Langley, there is a huge drop off. I just see a lot more good attackmen than middies. The one thing I am curious about is why #8 on Langley is that low. I didn’t see him play last year, but I heard that he had over a 100 points and is the only returning attackmen that was 1st team all state last year. What do you guys think?
I would have Langley #8 at the #2 spot behind the Yorktown kid. Both very solid for public school lax - Yorktown kid's skills are tighter. Langley #23 has only ever played SSDM. If they are moving him to close that is going to an adjustment.
