Why are MAGAs so worked up over Epstein when their own idol is a rapist?
They don't believe he is. They believe his trial was a sham and a witch hunt by the Biden DOJ. They are also fully expecting the SCOTUS the overturn Trump needing to pay E. Jean Carroll the $5mil. Also, they like to point out his conviction was for sexual abuse, not rape. That's they they seem to think he can should/will sue AOC for saying "Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epistein Files?" However, the distinction between what AOC said and what Stephanopoulos said that got ABC sued is that she never said a name whereas he plainly said that Trump was liable for the rape of E. Jean Carroll. It's splitting hairs. He was convicted of sexual abuse and defamation but not rape. Even a federal judge ruled that the word rape (digital rape) would/should still apply for what Trump did even tho the jury did not convict on a rape charge. The jury was instructed to use the definition of rape as "non-consensual vaginal penetration by a penis" and the definition of sexual assault as "non-consensual vaginal penetration by fingers/objects other than a penis". The jury said they did not convict on the rape charge because Carroll's testimony of when his penis entered her was not as vivid or clear as when she testified about the digital (finger) penetration. She also said that she wasn't sure if his penis was fully inside or only partially. They said her uncertainty created doubt, but when she recounted the digital penetration, she was very specific, was able to describe the emotions and pain she felt, and the jurors said they could see her squirm in discomfort in reliving that part, but she did not do the same when describing the penis in her.
