And let’s not forget DCU. The leadership there is clueless—there may not be a single qualified person on staff. The entire youth organization is a joke, and they deserve a thread of their own.

It sounds like you joysticked your child through all of the clubs in the area with each of them telling you something that doesn’t match up to your unrealistic expectations for your child. Rather than acceptance you chose denial.

All of the clubs that you have listed have individuals who make it their living to watch, scout, and understand the game of soccer.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say this reply was written by a BSC staff member—it’s the same tired narrative they use to deflect from the poor job they’re doing. The fact remains: clubs in this area are more focused on participating in shenanigans than actually running a proper soccer program. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns, they double down on dismissive rhetoric to protect their flawed system.
