You think a high school kid going to a concert is selfish. You must have been a complete nerd in HS. Plus, I have a hunch some girls from the winning team also went to see Luke.

Getting hammered the night before your game, that's a different story. But, going to a concert allowed a HS nerd to be self righteous as an adult, so I guess everybody wins. [/quote]

I'm the PP (the second one not the self-righteous DB above mine.  I did tons of similar things in advance of matches when I was in HS (including getting drunk the night before and smoking weed on the course when out of sight of any of the coaches) and none of my team mates felt let down on the rare occasions that I lost.
