45 students per classroom is coming.
My kids' ES currently has an opening for 2 monitors and nothing else.
Lots of schools were able to poach teachers from other schools early on, so there’s really just a rearranging of the deck chairs…
Not really, the schools with terrible principals or places that teachers just dont want to go will be in trouble. The schools with good principals where teachers want to be will be dine
I dunno about that. There are many highly regarded schools with several vacancies.
Highly regarded by parents has almost no correlation with high regard by staff. Weyanoke ES for example is probably the last place a high-SES family would consider, yet they have excellent employee satisfaction/engagement survey results. It's a wonderful place to work despite being in an underserved community.
Where are the survey results?
I work for FCPS and would also like to know this. I do agree that staff satisfaction isn’t related to working at a UC/UMC school. Put a terrible principal at a “good” school and watch what happens. BTDT.
