To all of the mask moms out there: Turn on the State of the Union and tell me again how my son in K, with 1 in 1,000,000 risk from COVID, has to go to his charter school tomorrow and play at recess with a mask on for a seventh month. And wear a mask for 7 hours indoors while attempting to socialize and learn a foreign language. Because it makes YOU feel comfortable to ignore the CDC. While you work from home (probably).
This is an awful comparison. I’m a teacher indifferent towards the mandate but every single person In that room got tested today prior to the SOTU. If schools are willing to test students daily, I imagine a lot of parents (so rude and mysoginsistic to call these ppl “mask moms”) would be more amenable to removing masks in school. No dog in the fight, I’ll literally do as I’m told at this point, but had to call out this combo of rudeness and misinformation
The comparison seems pretty on point to me. My DS’s school tests by pcr twice weekly plus a rapid at the beginning of the week. Children are at vastly lower risk that the people in that room (avg age 65), including the entire American government. And the serial tests done in schools are actually a lot more accurate than the one off tests done right before the event last night. Overall the transmission and disease risk at the speech last was orders of magnitude higher than in a classroom.
Your child doesn’t go to a DC public school, so no, it’s not accurate
DP. Mine does and this is absolutely accurate. But please, do enlighten us you Forever COVID nutcase.
1. Already stated I'm in favor of removing mandates. 2. It is not accurate that DC Public Schools are administering multiple tests to 100% students multiple times per week.
