To squelch the subject of reparations at such a time is, frankly, the wrong thing to do. In fact, it would be racist to sweep it under the rug now.

We have the momentum, the votes and the desire to correct the wrongs of the past. We have the opportunity  to marginalize racists and white privilege. The wind is at our backs. Let us unite behind Biden and restore the Obama-era Age of Enlightenment in the United States. Aside from electing Biden, the most meaningful thing we can do as a country to show proof of our sincerity is to begin the long overdue payment of reparations, and to take other meaningful efforts to correct the wealth gap.
