^^. That argument is weak. She is a bully
She is one of the greatest athletes of all time and from the time she and her sister started winning majors they have been misrepresented, maligned, and borne the brunt of many racist attacks. That chair ump is a sexist, holier than though prig. I'm very pissed that action was taken against Mohammed but not this jerk.
Yeah. Always racism or sexism. Never accountability for awful behavior. Why do other black women or women of other color not have the same issue??? Hmm.
There are many people who support Serena that agree that she was out of line. The issue for some of us is not that she was called and penalized on her behavior, but that she was penalized disproportionately to many other players, in particular players who are male or white. For example, it's been pointed out the Nick Kyrgios and Fabio Fognini have been behaved far worse than Serena and gotten far less punishment for their actions. Retired players John McEnroe and Andy Roddick have both been just as abusive as Serena was and got far lower penalties that Serena did. The problem is the fact that Serena has received the biggest and worst penalties for actions that have been excused or minimally penalized by other players. It's the driving while black argument and no one has actually come out with a reason why Serena deserves a worse penalty than male or white players do.
Why are you making excuses for her? At her worst Serena is a threatening, violent presence who makes court officials feel concerned for their own personal safety and security. The white male players you mentioned just talk trash. Not that it really matters - she is past her prime now and should retire soon.
