Trump isn't capable of playing Candyland. He's had a majority in both houses of Congress for two years and hasn't got any wall funding. He's a loser and an incompetent leader.
Yes, this. Why didn't Congress fund the wall ages ago? And now you're trying to blame Democrats who've been in the minority for two years? This is just red meat for the base and a distraction from Mattis resignation, the 17 investigations into the Trump family, and the s--tshow that is the adminstration. "Acting" Chief of Staff, etc.
Two years in the minority? May want to check your math there.
During Trump admin, obvs. If it was a priority, Repubs would have funded it so Trump could sign it. They ran up the deficit like crazy for corporate tax cuts.
Exactly, they got tax cuts passed without Democrats voting for it. They could have got his 5 billion in wall funding. Or he could have negotiated and got 1 billion a year and given other people some of what they want for the last two years and he could be on his third billion this year. He's bad at politics. He's a bad leader. He doesn't know how to negotiate or compromise. He thinks it's his way or the highway. He isn't a dictator and wants to behave like the nation is a dictatorship. He could have got his wall funding and now it's too late, he's going to have to negotiate with the Democrats so he's throwing a temper tantrum.
+1 The GOP prioritized tax cuts for billionaires over wall funding. Neither are good things, but they could have pushed it through if they wanted to. But they didn't because the wall is a waste of money.
