Black woman here, married to a white man. Chimed in earlier today, and also in earlier pages, hoping Jen would dump Tyler and do better, because I think she can. If it’s a better man who is white, great. If it’s a better man who is black, also great. I am currently laughing out loud at the notion that my husband marrying me or supporting my career could ever in any way be spun (by even a crazy individual) to suggest that it is reparations to make up for hundreds of years of white supremacy. Bless your heart. I would bet all the cash in my wallet that those enthusiastically-capitalized statements were spewed by a white lady who thinks we need her coming to our defense. Us black gals know we aren’t victims needing reassurances from white relationships. I married a person, not his skin.
