This last sentence is interesting.  The VAT rate is already at 95%.  Ever taste Russian chocolate?  Some domestic brands tasted like like cardboard, imho, but maybe they stole enough Nestle secrets that it's better now?  Same goes for cheese (gave me the same involuntary biological response as English cheese).  Russian wine?  Don't go there.

This one is an oldie but goodie.  It gives an idea what the Russian population saw of Wagner when Prigozhin was around. Margarita Simonyan goes bipolar as she channels Mary Poppins through Harley Quinn.  First she smiles while showing a Wagner sledgehammer murder on National TV, then a U.S. "Friends" TV show clip to justify why anything goes and no one should question the war in Ukraine. It's bizarre.

It is so sad for ordinary Russians most of whom who do not support the war even with all the state controlled media and propaganda - Putin is doubling his military budget at the expense of health, education and other more constructive expenditures so things will only get worse. [/quote]
