The ransom note specified a time the Call would happen I believe it was 10am and the police prepped the Ramsey's and had the phone ready but the time came and went without them mentioning the ransom call.

And that is why it was weird that the time for the call came and went and neither parent said "We didn't get a call!!  What do we do now!  We have to find her! Please find her!!"

I think this point gets glossed over, but it's huge.  At 9:45 I would have checked the phone line to make sure it was working.  I would have been counting down the minutes.  When it was close to 10:00, I would have made everyone be quiet and we would have all been standing by, staring at the phone ready to pick it up.

I also haven't read or heard anything about the police/FBI preparing for the call.  Don't they record the call/try to find the location of the caller, etc.?  Or is that just on t.v.?
