We all saw the video of the FCC chairman threatening ABC’s broadcast license. Do you not grasp that in the American system of government the various executive agencies and their appointed heads fall under the direct command of the executive? No, of course you do. You’re just playing games rather than acknowledging- as many conservatives have in response to this - that the current occupant of the WH is an existential threat to the most bedrock of our civil rights, the one which enshrines all the rest.[/quote]

The FCC chairman can't unilaterally yank a license. What I saw was a political appointee going off about an issue.

To yank a license, there would need to be a commission vote. Yet the matter isnt even before the commission- if it were, it would be public record. And even then, there would be administrative processes and finally, most likely, a challenge in court.

So I think your reaction is hysterical. All that happened was that a guy popped off on a podcast.[/quote]
