Maybe that isn't who/how you are, but I had a lot of not-moms and not-dads growing up, and that dynamic, that connection, was very similar to how Jake seems to see Dr. Robby. Didn't you have aunties/uncles? That bond doesn't go away just because your adult(s) separate(s).[/quote]

Aunties and uncles are different from the scenario The Pitt wants us to believe. In this case, Robby only dated Jake’s mother for a few years. We don’t even know when - maybe before Collins? It doesn’t sound at all like an auntie/uncle relationship. And yes, often when the adults break up, the kid is no longer closer with the ex, especially if they weren’t married. It’s just not realistic.[/quote]
