Is the reason that St. Bernard’s not on this list because it doesn’t have high school? Wondering how top tier schools are generally defined in this sub!

Yes, it's because it doesn't have a high school. Schools that send large numbers of graduates to ivy league colleges are often mentioned as top schools. Saint Bernard's boys graduate to high school, not college. They do eventually go to college, though, and if you could somehow compare boys starting at K at Saint Bernard's to boys starting at K at these other schools, Saint B's would look quite good.

I'd suggest that Saint David's and Buckley are at least as good as Riverdale for K-8. Riverdale has the stronger brand because of it's college placements... but it doubles in size by high school by admitting proven high performers at higher grades. Multiple parents have told me that their kids started at the top of the class and ended up middle/bottom because of this. It's hard to get in at high school, and many people want to secure their spots by entering in Kindergarten. That's fine; it depends on what you value. The actual K-8 education, though, is at least as good, if not better, at the UES boys' schools.
