Was the Pine Tree flag bad when BLM displayed it, or nah?
Ordinary private citizens aren’t held to judicial standards. There’s no requirement for construction workers or bus drivers or waitresses to be apolitical or to avoid the mere appearance of impropriety.
Isn't Alito's wife one of those private citizens?
Sure. But how stupid or partisan do you have to be to not recognize or acknowledge that when you live with a Supreme Court Justice, that their impartiality is a major part of their job and that appearances are crucial to letting the public know a judge on the highest court of the land takes that impartiality seriously. Anyone who knows anything about ethics knows that appearances are an important part of the guidelines and you don't do things that could create the appearance of ethics violations even if you believe the act itself does not violate ethics codes. I work at a much lower level of the federal government than the SCOTUS and I receive ethics training annually that emphasizes this aspect of the ethics code. Don't do it if it causes the appearance of ethics violations even if it does not in itself cross over the line. So she and he are either stupid are insanely partisan. Which is it?
Obviously hyper partisan while not even pretending that they're subject to ethics of any kind. But don't forget the option that he's a coward hiding behind his wife. His finger pointing there is now part of his legacy.
Because obviously his wife, being a woman and all, is incapable of independent thought. Love how democrats show their misogyny without even realizing it.
Men married to female feds are expected the same. You can repeat yourself until you’re blue in the face but everyone actually in high fed positions understands what several of us have told you at least 6 times. You just double down on your ignorance. You’re a know it all that has no idea how little you know.
TY. People here showing that they know nothing about the standards feds, appointees, and their families strive to adhere to in keeping with the oath they take to defend the Constitution against all enemies, “foreign and domestic.”
Show me where feds or appointee spouses and children are required to give the same oath and rules as the civil servant spouse or parent. I have friends that are Biden appointees and none of my friends wives had to take an oath or sign away their private citizen status.
They are not your friends or you would understand what we’ve been telling you. You are obtuse.
