It is tough being a mom of a 9 year old goalie.  I've had to have a few conversations that just because the other team scored, that he didn't fail his team. There are 6 other players and if they kept the ball at the other end of the field, there would be nothing for him to do. I also remind him that he was first picked to be goalie by his rec coach because he had the best focus. He loves it but man alive is it nerve-wracking for Mom. [/quote]
